Miss Victory Violet’s Spring Favourites

It might not feel like it right now, but spring is on it’s way! I’ve spied a few daffodils and cherry blossoms blooming and am beginning to get excited for the warmer months! You know what else that means? The release of the Collectif Spring/Summer range!

It’s always so exciting to see what Collectif bring to the table each season. There’s always the return of customer favourites such as the Dolores Top and Jade Dress in new colourways but we also get some fabulous new designs and novelty prints.

Today I’m going to be sharing with you some of my favourite looks that are to be released from the Spring/Summer Collection in the coming months, as well as of course some beauties that are available right now!

I absolutely LOVE the look of tailored women’s suits from the 40s and 50s but as a pear shape, true vintage ones never work out as the size that fits me on top is always too small in the hips. So I adore that the new Charlotte Jacket and Pencil Skirt from the Spring/Summer Collection has a nod to the suiting of years gone by but with and more modern fit!

Made from a Cotton/Spandex mix, this fabric has enough stretch to make it comfortable and easy to fit while still maintaining its shape. I’m wearing a size 10 in the jacket and a size 12 in the skirt which fits spot on – the only area that doesn’t quite fit right is the waist of the skirt. A size 10 would have been better for my waist but I wanted to make sure I was comfortable in the hips and able to move about easily! And besides, the peplum of the jacket actually hides the fact that the waist is a little too big!

I styled the Charlotte Jacket and Skirt with some classic pieces – 50s inspired navy pumps from Miss L Fire to match and a vintage corsage and hair flower from Shazam Pinup Flowers to highlight the contrast buttons.

Wear the Charlotte Jacket on it’s own as I have or layer it with the classic Dolores Top in white – perfect for when the more changeable spring weather arrives!
The Charlotte set is one of the first pieces from the new collection to arrive but there’s SO MUCH MORE good stuff set to come out. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to scroll through the full catalogue and given permission to share 3 of my favourite pieces yet to be released…are you salivating yet?!

First up, is the Miss Scarlet Maxi Dress because I’m a complete sucker for a full-length gown and this red is just so divine. The little bow detail at the waist is a gorgeous added touch and I love that the shape is relatively simple and easy to wear- you aren’t going to have to think too hard about bras or shapewear and you can really make it your own with how you choose to accessorize it.

Next is the glorious Talis Western Rose Skirt. I love embroidery and after seeing some great pieces from Collectif in the Autumn/Winter Collection, I’m overjoyed to see them continue into this season. This whole look is so fresh and fun and there’s even the matching Jessie Rose Embroidery Cardigan. Seriously, how cute is that!

Finally, it’s hard not to go past the utter magnificence that is the Flora Occasion Swing Dress! Featuring delicate tulle, a soft pink waist sash and 3D flowers along the skirt, this dress is truly beautiful. Collectif have really gone all out this season and there’s going to be more bridal and occassionwear than ever before. The Flora Swing Dress is one that would work wonderfully as a wedding dress but also as just a special party frock!

These are just some of many gorgeous new pieces that will be making their debut over the next few months. I would recommend keeping an eye out on Collectif’s social media sites for more previews and to see when new items are released.
