Collectif’s Top 10 Things To Watch On Disney Plus!

We’ve been trawling through Disney Plus for films and series, both old and new, to keep us entertained during this chilly Spring; take a look at our favourites below.

Agent Carter

If you just so happen to be a fan of Marvel and vintage, you’ll quite possibly love Agent Carter.
Peggy Carter, as known from the Avengers series, delves into espionage in 1940s New York in her own spin-off series, full of explosions, witty quips, and plenty of 40’s fashion to swoon over.

Lady and the Tramp (2019)

While some say it’s missing a little of the charm of the 1955 animation, this 2019 remake features a beautiful soundtrack including some of the classic songs like “Bella Notte” and “He’s a Tramp”, and the live-action turn of the century set is utterly charming.
This is a perfect film to get cosy and cuddled up to (perhaps after a dinner of spaghetti and meatballs?)

The World According to Jeff Goldblum

If you’re fond of “Did you know?” facts, or have always wondered just how tattoos are created, or what it is about barbecues that make our mouths water, then what better way to learn than being guided by the charming Jeff Goldblum?
Join him as he meets experts in the field to get to the bottom of fascinating everyday topics.

Frankenweenie (1984)

You might be more familiar with the animated remake of Frankenweenie, but we highly recommend catching the original short film made by, of course, Tim Burton.
Starring Shelley Duvall and real-life Sparky the dog, this homage to the 1931 horror classic Frankenstein is shockingly sweet and heart-warming.

Aristocats

Aristocats is a timeless classic; can anyone resist singing along to “Everybody wants to be a cat”?
Set in romantic Paris, the animation for this charming tale is just as beautiful today as it was in 1970 when this feline flick was released.

The Mandalorian

If you’re a fan of Star Wars, or are able to watch a series without needing to binge it (for which you have our highest commendation), The Mandalorian must be on your watch list.
Popular with existing Star Wars fans and those not so familiar with the franchise, this series is currently being released episode by episode each week, giving us something to look forward to!
And yes, Baby Yoda is adorable.

Toy Story

Toy Story is one of the lucky few whose sequels retain the original’s spirit while keeping the series current and relatable (for over 20 years, no less!).
Whether you watched Toy Story as a kid or parent and have grown up with Andy and the gang, or are yet to see any of the films (how?!), this Pixar masterpiece will make you laugh, cry, and get “You’ve Got a Friend In Me” stuck in your head for days.

Toy Story

Princess and the Frog

Set in 1920’s New Orleans, this is a perfect example of a classic fairytale with a Disney twist.
The jazzy soundtrack alone is enough to lift your spirits, and vintage inspiration positively flows from each human character’s outfits (the frogs, not so much).

The Imagineering Story

Have you ever wondered how the Disney Parks became the happiest places on earth?
This series, narrated by Angela Bassett, delves into the evolution of Disneyland and its worldwide attractions, showing the highs and lows of creators that continue to capture the hearts of children and adults alike.

The Simpsons
